The Nature's Fury

Those were the days, when Ukkunagaram-The Steel City, was lauded for the Lush Greenery that was unique in its own.
It was that horrifying moment, when the Cyclone dragged and pulled each and every tree out of its strong hold, the nature has shown.

Nature was not this merciless before. See how it has been a cause of concern. The day started with light showers slowly turned into violence
With winds as high as 350kmph and trees bowing in twisting and bending them as worst as possible that took away peace in  silence

All we could see was trees and trees surrounded, not as before that gave shade.
But only as the broken bones of the Earth that is stored in our memories only to let them get fade.

A Violent Shake of 5.8 led to down fall and tremor shocks. From the Kailasagiri to Kambalakonda to the Kurusura and Fishing Harbour Road
Nothing was left untouched by the Natural Fury. The trees which gave shade, those gave fruit and food now lay in rest only to be cleared in the Neighbourhood.

Helicoptors previously used to passby to INS Dega were the only Hope of Food and Water that Hover.
Every Inch Every Nook and Corner they have had to Cover the Grief stricken people who were waiting starving as high as ever.

Water in Tankers we drank.
Gas leakage in the Steel Plant remained a prank.
With Nights as Deep and Dark.
Days are Scorchy with Sun Spark.

Food packets to Water packets.Torch lights to Candle lights was the only source of light.
None, but we ourselves witnessed the pain, agony and the hunger starvation and our plight.

This is not the Cyclone HUDHUD but, the Natural Calamity that was Horrifying Un-imagined Devastating Highly Unethical Disaster. That Impaired each hope in less than 20 hours only to change from Green to Mean. It will take 20 years to change from Mean to Green.
It will take 20 years to change from Mean to Green.

This is the Poem composed by me as an eyewitness to the Hudhud Cyclone that started on the Very day of 12th October, 2014.

Disclaimer: The Images of Fallen Trees have only been captured, keeping in mind of those people who are weak at heart. No Loss of Life has been reported in the Disaster that lasted 5 days.
